Why use 1 word when 100 will do? Griff, you spend so much time explaining simple ideas that could be covered in a fraction of the time. Is that to make it look difficult and so encourage pupils to buy your courses I wonder.

    • Griff says:

It may be simple to you, but may not be to someone else. If I don’t cover it fully, the next person may not understand. Sometimes that means you have to be a little more patient. Timing, rhythm, and counting are a HUGE stumbling block to most people I teach, and in my experience the more I explain, the better things work out for them.

I’m doing well at my Guitars for Vets class. Having very little to no problem with the rhythm of the songs thanks to these videos. (Teacher says some previous members of the class had tremendous problem with keeping rhythm.):-)

Griff, thank you so much for counting through the video. I needed that so much. Very helpful. In the future I hope you touch on counting sixtenth note triplets. I have no idea how to count them. Thank you great Stuff.

Thank you Griff. I had been learning chords and one or two riffs. Neglected strumming as I found it hard to keep the rhythm. These lessons have shown me the way! Just wish I had your sound proof room to practice in. 🙂 Warwick

I’m having problems with the lesson. My left hand won’t let me go with this video for more than a few minutes before hurting like crazy.
